Artisan Colour Timeline
APR 2, 1998
Artisan Colour was officially founded, providing catalog services to national brands. Located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Four original hires plus coowners: Joe, John, and Doug.
The company started its journey as a catalog production company in the year of 1998 and began establishing their reputation within the first five years as one of the top print catalog production and color management companies in the nation. Winning over retail catalog clients such as Neiman Marcus, Patagonia, Chico’s and Sundance. Soon after, adding other nationally well-known brands including Pottery Barn, PrAna, White House/Black Market and Bergdorf Goodman.
Artisan Colours first corporate catalog account—The Territory Ahead. A retail company that offers highquality, casual travel wear and shoes for men.
Sundance Catalog was Artisan Colour’s first big win as a newly founded company. Sundance Catalog caters to men and women–offering unique clothing, jewelry, shoes, and accessories. To this day, Sundance Catalog is our longest running national account.
2000
As the company continued to grow, they were in need of a much bigger space. In 2000, Artisan moved from their original startup office into their second building location, which was located in the Scottsdale Airpark.
Launched photo studio—Artisan Captures. Today, Artisan’s professional Photo Studio is utilized for Fashion, Products, Jewelry, Food & Beverage, Catalog Imagery and much more.
2005
In 2005, as growth continued, Artisan Colour built and moved into their third location which would also remain their current to date. A 36,000 square foot building in North Scottsdale, Arizona.
2009
Purchased Mighty Imaging, a large format printing shop, and began evolving into Artisan Colour Printing & Graphics.
2011
Founded ArtisanHD—our first dot com e-commerce website. A professional fine art printing service that offers high-quality printing for photographers and art enthusiasts. ArtisanHD offers unique custom printing materials and mounting options such as HD Acrylic, Brushed Metal, Canvas, and much more.
2016
The Artisan brand gets a facelift. Rebranded Logo Design. Artisan Colour: Modern Colour + Print
2017
Launched new version of ArtisanHD e-commerce website, offering more custom fine art and photographic printing options. Our best in class photographic and printing equipment allows the recreational artist access to the same tools, materials, and craftsmanship that professional photographers utilize to make stunning museum quality masterpieces.
2018

2021
In 2021, Artisan Colour is the first in Arizona to acquire the HP Indigo 7K press. The printer opens the door to a wide variety of specialty inks for businesses big and small. It’s also manufactured using renewable energy and is the first generation of HP Indigo printers to be certified carbon neutral.
