We're seeking a seasoned Account Executive with at least 8 years of B2B sales experience, ideally from a mid-sized digital marketing agency environment.


This role is all about results—primarily through outbound sales efforts.  You'll identify opportunities, engage in decision-makers, and build strong client relationships to drive revenue for both our digital marketing and commercial print services.  Success in this role requires someone who thrives on proactive outreach, is highly skilled at nurturing leads with consistent follow-up, and can turn conversations into long-term partnerships.

What You'll Do

Outbound Sales Leader

  • Take ownership of outbound sales efforts by identifying and engaging mid-sized to enterprise-level businesses ($30–$500 million in revenue) through cold outreach, prospecting, and leveraging your network.
  • Meet or exceed outbound activity metrics (e.g., calls made, emails sent, meetings booked) while consistently achieving revenue targets.
  • Build a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through consistent outbound activities and ensure opportunities are regularly advancing through the sales funnel.

Inbound Lead Conversion Specialist

  • Respond promptly to inbound leads—prioritizing speed and quality engagement to qualify opportunities within hours of receipt.
  • Implement a high-touch follow-up process with multiple touchpoints (calls, emails, personalized outreach) to nurture inbound leads effectively until they convert into clients.
  • Track all interactions in CRM tools like HubSpot to ensure no opportunity is missed while maintaining visibility into lead progress.

Strategic Collaborator

  • Work closely with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Vice President of Growth to refine sales strategies that align with company objectives across both service areas.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide actionable feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness, ensuring alignment between sales and marketing efforts.
  • Regularly analyze performance metrics to optimize your approach for both outbound prospecting and inbound lead conversion.

Future Leader

  • Upon achieving revenue milestones, transition into a leadership role by building out a high-performing sales team under your guidance.
  • Implement proven strategies that drive consistent results across the team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 8 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record in outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and closing deals with mid-sized to enterprise-level.
  • Proven success in converting inbound leads through quick response times and high-touch lead nurturing strategies.
  • Experience selling both digital marketing retainers and commercial print solutions—or the ability to quickly learn how to sell across these two service areas effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage decision-makers at all levels, build trust quickly, and present ideas clearly.
  • A history of driving significant revenue growth through consultative selling techniques that focus on solving client challenges rather than simply pitching services.
  • Experience scaling sales operations or leading junior team members in a growing organization.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools like HubSpot for pipeline management and reporting.

Position Overview

Sales Representatives are the principal point of contact liaising our business with customers. In this key position as an Outside Sales Representative, you are responsible for prospecting and developing new business as well as building relationships with existing accounts. In many ways, Sales Reps are the face of the company and your role ensures customers are cared for at the highest level of service while providing valuable knowledge and trusted advocacy. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales and the owners of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Has the ability to flourish with minimal guidance, develops action plans, and executes the plan. Self monitors performance, and predetermines obstacles and workarounds should any hindrance arise.
  • Utilizes and embraces Artisan’s Hubspot customer resource management platform on a routine basis (daily/weekly) to track and share your personal effort in prospecting new leads and contacts. Uses Hubspot to update efforts on existing accounts as well as grow our customer base with accounts that are a good fit for the products and services Artisan offers, including appropriate outsourcing opportunities.
  • Develops and hones unique selling proposition to find suitable customers that are seeking partnerships versus those seeking a low-cost print supplier. Strives for sizable accounts that have consistent printing needs for their business operations.
  • Liaise with potential prospects and existing customers through in-person meetings, email, phone, or other electronic media. Serves customers by selling Artisan’s products and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Possesses strong sales acumen through ample preparation and by not taking responses personally regardless of the outcome. Is calm under pressure, asks thoughtful questions, displays effective listening skills and relentlessly demonstrates product value.
  • Fosters a strong company culture through consistent communication of customer objectives and improvement opportunities. Cultivates a friendly, respectful rapport with their manufacturing counterparts working to motivate and inspire the employees of our company through a teamwork approach.
  • Learns, utilizes, and embraces Artisan’s printIQ MIS platform on a routine basis to estimate work, win jobs, and monitor on-time delivery of awarded jobs on behalf of our customers.
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, to network new opportunities and provide information to the company’s leadership team on market movement and industry trends.
  • Continuously seeks to improve Artisan’s profitability by making sure each job quoted is estimated accurately to the manufacturing and destination specifications provided.
  • Understands the company handbook, employment policies, and practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher, plus sales experience in the printing industry.
  • Likable, tenacious, confident and professional prospector with impeccable integrity across all business dealings.
  • Builds strong customer relationships through respectful business dealings based on trust and industry knowledge.
  • Superior communicator and presenter. Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
  • Highly organized, creates strategic plans, puts them in motion, and measures effectiveness.
  • Comprehends and embraces technology as it correlates to internal and external business operations.
  • Results-oriented, drives execution, follows tasks through to completion.
  • Advanced use of computer software including: MS Office, Google Gmail, and Internet Browsing/Research.
  • General understanding of the printing industry and its common print processes.
